Be cautious in your job search or when receiving mail at home or work for “Reshipping Fraud” scams. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service  has issued an alert and guidelines for what you can do to avoid becoming a victim.

  • You may be asked to reship merchandise or postal money orders in work at home, sweetheart or mystery shopper scams.
  • Be alert for counterfeit  money orders or checks. If you received a postal money order, be sure it is real by calling the Money Order Verification System at  1-866-459-7822.
  • If a package arrives “Return to Sender” that has your name on the return address but you didn’t send, it could signal a  credit card scheme.
