Current Openings

Director of Finance, City of Westlake, Ohio – AAA Bond Rating by three major rating agencies.
$75,000 - $100,000+ annually DOQ. Certified Public Accountant or CPFO, CFO or Certified Financial Manager and undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required, plus a min. of 5 yrs. experience in management supervision in a municipal finance department or comparable. Must be proficient in governmental accounting & reporting. Deadline to apply is August 15. Police and Fire Department Civil Service Exams

Fire Department Entry Exam

A Civil Service test was duly advertised and held on April 12, 2008 for entry level firefighter positions on the Westlake Fire Department. Applicants who obtained and returned their application before the specified deadline were eligible. Westlake conducts these exams approximately every two years.

A list of qualified applicants is developed from those tested and is used for hiring until the next test is administered.

Police Department Entry Exam

A Civil Service test was duly advertised and held on October 6, 2007 for positions on the Westlake Police Department. Applicants who obtained and returned their application before the specified deadline were eligible. Westlake conducts these exams approximately every two years.

A list of qualified applicants is developed from those tested and is used for hiring until the next test is administered.
