Fire Department Civil Service Exams

Civil Service Exams:
A Civil Service test was duly advertised and held on July 13, 2011, for position of Lieutenant in the Westlake Fire Department. Applicants who obtained and returned their application before the specified deadline were eligible for the exam.

A Civil Service test was duly advertised and held on July 16, 2011, for entry level positions in the Westlake Fire Department. Applicants who obtained and returned their application before the specified deadline were eligible for the exam. Westlake conducts these exams approximately every two years.

A list of qualified applicants is developed from those tested and is used for hiring until the next test is administered.

Police Department Civil Service Exams

Civil Service Exam:

A Civil Service test was duly advertised and held on March 3, 2012, for entry level position of police officer in the Westlake Police Department. Applicants who obtained and returned their application before the specified deadline were eligible for the exam. Westlake conducts these exams approximately every two years.

A list of qualified applicants is developed from those tested and is used for hiring until the next test is administered.

A Civil Service test was advertised and will be held on February 16, 2013, for the position of Chief in the Westlake Police Department. Applicants who obtained and returned their application before the specified deadline are eligible for the exam.
