Designed for infant's age 6 - 18 months who have no previous water experience. Class focuses on the comfort level of the infant and provides experiences and activities for the parent and infant. Max:12
Designed for toddlers age 18 - 36 months with little or no water experience. This class focuses on the advanced comfort level of the toddler and provides games, activities and begin use of kickboards, noodles etc. for the parent and toddler. Max:12
Designed for preschoolers who have previous water experience but need parental presence and support in the water. This class builds on the skills learned in Infant and Toddler, and starts to introduce preschoolers to the skills needed to advance to Blue Fish without a parent or Level 1. Max:12
Designed for children 3 - 5 years old who have previous water experience and can go in the water without a parent present.
Designed for children 5 - 6 years old who have previous water experience, this class builds on the skills learned in Blue Fish and increases the child's comfort level and experience in the water.
Designed for children 5 - 6 years old who have previous water experience, this class continues practicing the skills learned in Red Fish to increase the child's comfort level and experience in the water.
This one-on-one class is available for those with special needs. This is a recreational learn to swim class, not an aquatics therapy class. Please contact the Aquatics Department if you are interested in signing up. Max:6
For students just starting out in the Learn to Swim program. Students learn basic aquatic skills including supported floating, bubble blowing and exploring alternating arm and leg action on their front and back. Max:10
Students will build on the skills learned in Level 1 and will begin to float without support, bob rhythmically, and combine arm and leg action on their front and back for 15 feet unsupported. Max:10
Students will build on the skills learned in Level 2, and begin to learn to coordinate the front and back crawl for 15 yards. Students are also introduced to elements of the butterfly stroke, as well as the fundamentals of treading water. Max:10
Students will build on the skills learned in Level 3, and begin to increase their stroke endurance by swimming longer distances. Students will continue to work on elements of the butterfly stroke and elementary backstroke, and the breaststroke and sidestroke are introduced. Max:10
Students at this level refine their performance in all strokes, and work on increasing their swimming distance. Flip turns are also introduced. Max:10
Students at this level are able to choose from several options, including fitness swimming, need to know from client what other options are available for this class. Due to the variety this level offers, students may repeat it to focus on different goals each time. Max:10
A great class for anyone interested in learning the basics of springboard diving, or for those with diving experience who want to learn higher technical dives. Instruction will cover the skills of approach, hurdle and water entry. Progression is based on individual ability. Students must be able to swim one length of the pool unassisted. Max:10
Adults - if you have always wanted to learn how to swim this is the class for you! We customize our class to your abilities and work with you no matter what your level. Lap Pool. Max:10

Classes are geared for all ages and abilities- the ardent exerciser or those just beginning. You will get an entire body workout that is customized to fit you. Are you looking for a refreshing exercise class? Increase your strength and endurance in this superior, challenging and sweat-free power workout. Walking forwards and backwards, jogging, side stepping & kicking against the 5 mile per hour current of our Lazy River with exercise equipment provides a challenging total body workout. No swimming skills are necessary. Water shoes recommended.
This class is a welcome change to a walking program normally done on the track. Walking (forwards and backwards), jogging, side stepping, kicking and using water exercise equipment against the 5 mile per hour current of our Lazy River provides a challenging workout for the entire body. Water shoes recommended.
This medium to intense program set to music includes both warm up and cool down exercises. A great addition to any exercise program. Punch cards will not be accepted for this class.

As an accredited Red Cross affiliate, we offer swimming classes to help your child learn to swim regardless of age or skill. If you have questions regarding placement, please ask one of our staff for assistance.

Swimmers must wear a bathing suit. No cut-offs, gym shorts, shirts or leotards. Spandex or Lycra material is acceptable.
Non-toilet trained children must wear swim diapers.
Long hair must be tied back with a non-metal clip.
The play pool is for children 8 years of age and under and must be accompanied by an adult.
Children must be 48” tall to use the Slides, Lily Pads, and Lazy River.
One-piece swim masks, fins and snorkels are prohibited. Flexible goggles (covering the eyes only) are permitted.
Flotation devices permitted: noodles, water wings, coast guard approved life jackets, suits with built-in flotation, and baby seat floaters.
Parents are required to be in the water with children using floatation devices.
The Pools will be cleared when the following situations arise:
If severe weather is close by. Close by means you see lightning and it is followed by thunder within two or three seconds or less.
If a tornado warning has been issued for our area.
If a severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for our area, we will monitor the weather closely and be prepared to clear the pool in the event lightning is visible.
Pools will be cleared for re-entry 15 minutes after the last sighting of lightning.
