Water Aerobics
Enjoy the warm sunny weather while you get a great, low-impact workout. This is a great addition to your normal exercise routine.
Fun Float Friday!
For a Friday full of fun, bring your favorite fun float to the pool. Inner tubes, beach balls, floating animals and noodles are all welcome! Regular pool admission prices apply.
Goldfish Grab
Kids, come on down to Peterson Pool and meet us at the kiddy pool to grab a goldfish! Each child will have the opportunity to catch their very own fish to take home. Don't forget to bring a net or bucket to catch your fish in. Plastic bags will be on hand so you can take your new pet home. Open to all ages up to 10 years old! Pre-registration is required. Every child will catch a fish!
Little Minnows Morning Splash Pass
Start your day with some fun in the sun! Bring your little ones (ages 6 and under) to the tot pool at Peterson Pool and let them splash, play and have fun with their friends! Morning Splash Pass is valid Monday - Friday from 9 - 11:45 a.m. for the tot pool only. Passes can be purchased at the tot pool entrance or from the Peterson Pool front desk during open swim hours. Splash pass is $2 per morning or 10 visits for $15.
You are my SUNSHINE! Preschool Party (ages 3 - 5)
Summertime is in full swing and what a great way to enjoy a summer day than to join your friends at Peterson Pool for our Summer Sunshine Party. We will swim, splash, sing, make a craft and have a snack as we enjoy the summer sun! Pre-registration is required.
Dog Days of Summer
Time to let the dogs have their day in the pool! Bring your canine and let it splash, swim and frolic with others in and around the pool.
Swim Classes at Peterson Pool
Tiny Tots
Designed for 3 to 5-year-olds with a three to one teacher ratio. Children are grouped by skill level the first day of class.
Level I
Designed for 6-year-olds or older who are new to lessons. Also for those who are a bit timid.
Level II
Designed for those children who can front float unassisted.
Level III
Designed for children who can swim a little, but need work on distance, form and breathing.
Level IV
Designed for children who need more work on form and breathing. Elementary backstroke taught. Sidestroke and breaststroke introduced.
Level V
Designed for children who are working on stroke refinement. Sidestroke and breaststroke introduced. Crawl and elementary backstroke reviewed.
Level VI
Designed for children who are working toward stroke proficiency. Stroke work and endurance are emphasized. There are several options to choose from for this level.

Peterson Pool
Peterson Pool membership is not included in the Recreation Center membership; however, current Recreation Center members receive a 20% discount off of the season pass rate. Please call 440.617.4416 with any questions.
Every member is required to show his or her ID for admittance to the pool.

There is an additional $5 photo identification card fee for all registered members, including children ages 6 and under. NO membership fee is required for children ages 6 and under.

Water Slides
Peterson Pool is a great place to cool off during those hot summer days. Plan a birthday party, have a picnic, or bring the kids for a swim--there's always something fun going on at Peterson Pool. We have trained lifeguards on duty every day, and senior citizens swim for free, as well as children age three and under when they're accompanied by a paying adult.
All pool pass registrations and photo IDs must be processed at the Recreation Center. Please call 440.808.5700 with any questions.
Join the Swim Team at Peterson Pool
This program is designed to provide conditioning, stroke and turn drills, and competition. The team is a member of the North Coast Swim League and participates in league dual meets and a championship meet at the end of the season. Pre-requisites include previous competitive swim experience or the ability to swim in deep water using two competitive swim strokes (Butterfly, Breaststroke, Backstroke, or Freestyle). Kids ages 5 to seniors in high school may join.

Birthday Parties at Peterson Pool!
Have your child's next birthday party at Peterson Pool. We'll supply the food, beverages and fun—you supply the cake. Each of our pool party packages includes two hours of fun at Peterson Pool (during open swim), and the poolside gazebo. Parties can be scheduled Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Reservations must be made a minimum of five days in advance. In case of inclement weather, hosting parent will be notified and a full refund will be issued.
