Duties & Responsibilities

The road crew preserves and maintains all City-owned streets and sidewalks to provide safe vehicle and pedestrian travel. Work includes:
  • Patching potholes
  • Sweeping streets
  • Repairing tree lawns, streets, curbs, and guardrails
  • Sidewalk repairs
  • Installing concrete or asphalt when needed for special projects

How to Report a Pothole


Please use our Report a Pothole Form to report any potholes you have encountered in Westlake, Ohio. If the pothole is on I-90, please submit a report to ODOT.

Traffic Control

The crew is responsible for yearly traffic control for special events such as the July 4th parade, Celebrate Westlake Race and the Hilliard Boulevard flower box planting day.
