WAC Guidelines

Aquatics General Rules

  • Swimmers must wear a bathing suit. No cut-offs, gym shorts, shirts or leotards. Approved swimwear preferred, lycra or spandex attire.
  • Non-toilet trained children must wear swim diapers. They must also wear proper swim attire over their swim diaper.
  • Long hair should be tied back with a non-metal clip.
  • Children must be 48” tall to use the slides.
  • Swimmers must be 42" tall to use the lazy river.
  • One-piece swim masks, fins, and snorkels are prohibited.
  • All exercise equipment and noodle are adult use only.
  • The following flotation devices are permitted: Coast Guard approved life jackets and puddle jumpers, suits with built-in flotation, and baby seat floaters with a parent/guardian within arm's length.
  • Parents/Guardians MUST be in the water within arm's length of children using flotation devices. 
  • During open and family swims there will be a 10-minute break every hour for children un the age of 18.
  • The following are prohibited in the pool area: use of personal toys (including balls and water guns), food, drinks, gum, smoking of any sort, chewing tobacco, jumping on or over a swimmer, running, dunking , pushing, horseplay, improper conduct, profane language or gestures, or other conduct deemed inappropriate. 
  • No outside food allowed.
  • No glass allowed. 
  • No coolers allowed. 
  • Lounge chairs are for adult use only.

Diving Rules

  • Mount the board by using the ladder only.
  • Divers must be able to swim one length of the lap pool unassisted. Swim tests are provided by the supervisor on duty.
  • Only one person is permitted on the board at one time.
  • Only one bounce is permitted on the board.
  • Fulcrum is locked in the forward position.
  • Jump or dive straight forward off the board. No angular or "to the side" takeoffs.
  • Only forward dives are permitted.
  • Wait for the area to clear before takeoff.
  • Patrons may not catch children who are jumping off the board.
  • No non-swimmers may jump off the board. A swim test may be required.
  • Patron must exit the pool at the nearest ladder or sidewall.

Climbing Wall Rules

  • Lifeguard must be on duty at all times.
  • Experienced swimmers only, swim test required.
  • Two climbers allowed with one wall panel between them.
  • Only one swimmer in the drop zone at a time.
  • No Diving and No Backflips. Feet first entries only.
  • Flotation devices are not permitted.

Lazy River Rules

  • Patrons must be 42" tall to use the Lazy River.
  • Only rafts supplied by the Aquatic Facility are permitted.
  • No jumping on rafts.

Activity Pool

  • No personal toys are permitted.
  • Climbing on the pipes or hanging from the ropes is PROHIBITED.
  • No running on or around water play unit.
  • Climbing up to the slide is prohibited.
  • Children must go feet first down the slide.

Water Slide Rules

  • Follow instructions of the water slide attendant.
  • Keep hands and feet inside the water slide at all times.
  • DO NOT attempt to stop, slow down, or steer while riding the water slide.
  • No diving or jumping from the water slide.
  • DO NOT use the water slide under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
  • Parental or adult supervision is recommended.
  • Failure to follow the safety rules can result in serious injury to yourself and others and/or loss of privilege to use the water slides.
  • No tubes, mats, life jackets, swim goggles, face masks, or footwear are permitted on the water slide.
  • No loose articles in pockets.
  • It is highly recommended that pregnant women and/or persons with any pre-existing medical conditions should check with their physicians before use.
  • Additional Large Water Slide Rules:
  • Patrons must be 48" to use the slides.
  • No forming of chains or trains with other riders.
  • Exit the plunge pool or runout area immediately.
  • Weight Limit: 250 lbs. per single rider.
  • Water depth in the plunge pool is 3 feet and 6 inches.
  • No running, standing, kneeling, rotating, tumbling, or stopping in the water slide flume.
  • Pregnant women and people with heart or back conditions should not use this water slide.

Splash Pad Rules

  • Splash pad is for use by children 10 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult.
  • No personal toys are permitted.
  • Climbing on the pipes or hanging from the ropes are PROHIBITED.
  • No running on or around water play units.
