Virtual Programs

The Senior and Community Services Department offers a variety of virtual programming to keep residents engaged even when they cannot be together under one roof. This virtual programming is just one of many ways the department trying to find creative ways to fulfill its mission.

These programs would not be possible without the tremendous work of our staff and the generous donations from residents to sponsor our programs. Many of our instructors do rely on their speaking incomes, so we’re also happy to help “employ” them again as we can.

Details for each program may be found in the latest Pathways Monthly Newsletter.

ZOOM Events

Many of our virtual programs are live events that can be accessed via ZOOM. By now, many of you likely have heard about ZOOM and maybe have already used the app to interact with coworkers, friends or family members. If not, that’s okay - see our step-by-step guide to using ZOOM in our latest Pathways Monthly Newsletter. IMPORTANT: You must call 440-899-3544 to register your spot in each ZOOM event by the day prior to when it is scheduled to take place unless otherwise noted.

Drive-In Events

With help from numerous volunteers and city staff, we have begun hosting Drive-In Events at the Senior and Community Services Center, including drive-in concerts and bingo. Parking spaces have been marked with yellow dots to facilitate social distancing between cars. Once in the parking lot, attendees can use their car radios to listen for instructions and other audio from the event presenters. One of our first Drive-In Bingo events in June was recognized during the Fox 8 News segment entitled "Cleveland's Own Helping Cleveland's Own."
