    Walking is great exercise at any pace, but did you know there are  other benefits to walking other than the fact that it’s simple and free? Now that the nicer weather is here, there’s no better time to start a new routine and walk your way to better health.  Did you know that walking: Promotes good physical health—walking can lower your risk of  Diabetes, Heart Disease and can improve pain from Arthritis. Promotes good mental health—walking regularly helps lower your risk of mental decline, including dementia. Allows social bonding and improves your mood. Allows you to check out the wonderful world around you. The month of June, group meets at 5:30pm @ the Rec Center Gazebo. Watch the newsletter for locations for July/August.     Savor the Thyme with us and enjoy a salad before or after a Thursday program. Order a one of a kind, homemade, nutritious and delicious salad in a jar. You will reserve and pay for your salad in advance. When you pick-up your salad you may enjoy it at our Center between programs. We will be asking for your feedback and suggestions about these and other upcoming lunch options as we occasionally make this a part of our Thursday schedules.
