Sgt. John Mauer retires after 31 years

Sgt John Mauer and Mayor Clough proclamation

The City of Westlake held retirement a ceremony honoring Sgt. John Mauer on Friday, March 4, for his 31 years with the Westlake Police Department. 

Sgt. Mauer's service often extended beyond Westlake's borders through his work with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, assisting on cases throughout Northeast Ohio. 

Prior to coming to Westlake, Mauer began his career as a patrolman for the Broadview Heights Police Department.
