Clague Playground Ribbon-Cutting Photo 2

Westlake Mayor Dennis M. Clough and Recreation Director Paula Horner cut the ceremonial ribbon officially opening the new accessible playground at Clague Park on Monday, July 4, 2022.

Members of Westlake City Council and the Recreation Commission also gathered to celebrate the culmination of years of planning and hard work.

The grounds are specifically designed to accommodate children with special needs, but ALL children are welcome to come enjoy this brand new amenity located adjacent to the Westlake Aquatic Center and Peterson Pool.

A video of the ribbon-cutting ceremony is available online (below) and via the Westlake Community Access Channel. It includes a short slideshow with photos of the new amenity, designed to accommodate children with special needs. More photos can be found on the City's social media channels.
