Ohio issues statewide mask mandate

Facial coverings are now required in public throughout the State of Ohio, per an order issued on July 23 by Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Interim Director Lance D. Himes.

The order applies to all individuals at least 10 years of age when in any indoor location that is not a residence, when in an outdoor setting where social distancing is not possible and when waiting for or using public transportation.

The order also details proper guidelines for wearing masks and facial coverings, social distancing protocols and specific criteria for exemptions to the new requirements.
