Self-quarantining and cold, dreary winter weather on the North Coast have resulted in many of us being less active, less happy and overall less healthy than we would like to be.
People of all ages and activity levels have been adversely affected by our current environment. We are inviting all of you to break out of this rut with us. Small Changes for a Better You is a simple program designed to be easily doable for EVERYONE. The goal is that participants will go into spring a little bit healthier and happier.
For eight weeks, participants will be asked to log daily exercise and positive mental health activities. Exercise may include any type of activity that is a bit challenging for you and could include activities as simple as chair exercises or as challenging as a winter hike. You will also be asked to complete a daily mental health activity, such as meditating or practicing gratitude. Bonus points can be earned by taking wellness-oriented classes or following weekly bonus challenges that will be emailed out.
We will hold a zoom celebration at the end. Join us for a Zoom kick-off on Feb. 5 at 12 p.m. The program will begin on Feb. 7 and end on April 5. RSVP to 440-899-3544 by Feb. 3. Didn’t see this posting in time? That’s OK, late registrants are welcome. It’s never too late for self-improvement.
