ODJFS tool allows unemployment fraud to be reported online

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) has launched a new tool which allows victims of fraud related to unemployment compensation to report these crimes directly to the State of Ohio rather than contacting local law enforcement.

Data provided by fraud victims then can be tracked and crossmatched with existing Unemployment Insurance (UI) and Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) data to help investigators in their efforts to find the perpetrators.

To report unemployment fraud, visit the ODJFS website at www.unemployment.ohio.gov, click the “REPORT IDENTITY THEFT” link and complete the form that appears.
