Westlake — Local veterans gathered this morning for the beloved “Coffee with a Vet” event, where laughter, stories, and a shared sense of service filled the room. The gathering continued its cherished tradition: the oldest veteran in attendance cutting the cake and serving the first slice to the youngest. This time, Ed Hammon held the honor of slicing the cake and presenting the first piece to Lieutenant Jason Dancy of the Westlake Police Department.
