We're proud to announce that Westlake has been welcomed into the Dementia Friendly America network! 💜 "Dementia Friendly Westlake" unites the City, Westlake Porter Library, Westlake Community Services Center, The Carolyn L. Farrell Foundation for Brain Health, and our Police and Fire departments to create a more supportive community for residents living with dementia and their care partners.
Our goal: ensuring dementia is met with understanding rather than fear.

Coffee with a Vet event this morning. Our wonderful group of Veterans enjoyed a morning together topped off with a tradition. The oldest guy in the group has the honor of cutting the cake and serving the first piece to the youngest in attendance. Ed Hammon cut the cake and served the first piece to Lieutenant Jason Dancy from our own Westlake PD.

Please remember to join us tomorrow for the Veteran's Resource Fair, from 10am-1pm, here at the Westlake Community Services building. All are welcome. It is a free event with raffles and giveaways!
