The Westlake Recreation Center will temporarily close for its annual maintenance and deep cleaning from Monday, August 4, through Sunday, August 10, city officials announced.
During the closure, front desk staff will remain available for business transactions only, operating from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday of that week.
The facility's indoor pools will remain closed throughout August as part of ongoing renovation work. However, Westlake Recreation Center members will have access to alternative aquatic facilities during the closure period.
Members can use the Rocky River indoor pool, except during its own scheduled closure from July 21 through August 3. During that brief period, Westlake members may access the Westlake Aquatic Center, though guest privileges will not be permitted.
From August 4-10, members will have access to gym and fitness center facilities at both the Rocky River Civic Center and Fairview Park Gemini Center. A membership key fob will be required for entry, and guest access will not be available at these locations.
Group exercise classes and Kids Club services will also be available at the host facilities, following their respective rates and policies. Reservations will be required for Kids Club participation.
