250 Kindness

(April 23, 2026) - The City of Westlake is proud to join the United States of Kindness, a national movement launching in 2026 to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary through action. As a participating partner, the City of Westlake and has committed to taking part in the USK 250 Acts of Kindness Call to Action, encouraging kindness across the community throughout the year.

“We are proud to join the United States of Kindness and take part in the 250 Acts of Kindness Challenge. This effort aligns with our commitment to service, connection, and making a positive impact on our community, and gives our residents the opportunity to show kindness to others,” said Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough.

The United States of Kindness invites every American to complete 250 acts of kindness in 2026 and share their stories, building a visible culture of compassion, connection, and unity nationwide.

“Kindness is not soft. It is strength,” said Stuart Muszynski, Founder of Kindland and the United States of Kindness. “The United States of Kindness exists to elevate the good that is already happening and inspire more of it. Partners like the City of Westlake show what leadership through kindness looks like in action.”

Through this partnership, the City of Westlake will highlight acts of kindness already happening, while also encouraging new acts of kindness among employees, partners, and the broader community.
