Passport

Westlake is inviting residents and visitors to explore the city’s history with a new interactive experience called the Westlake Passport, a mobile-friendly “passport” that guides users to seven local historical markers and rewards them with collectible digital stamps along the way.

The idea is simple: visit each stop, snap a photo, and collect a stamp. Each stamp features the name of the location and its stop number, giving participants a keepsake that feels like a real travel passport—only it lives right on your phone.

To get started, users open the Westlake Passport on their smartphone and sign in. From there, they can view the list of historical markers and head to any location they choose. At each stop, the app helps confirm you’re at the right place, then prompts you to take a photo. Once the photo is captured, the Passport generates a stamp-style overlay and saves it to your collection.

After collecting stamps from all seven locations, users can generate a final completion badge—a shareable digital badge celebrating the accomplishment and the city’s history.

The Westlake Passport is designed for families, students, history buffs, and anyone looking for a fun reason to get outside, learn something new, and see Westlake through a different lens.
