Planning to attend the Memorial Day Parade? In today's 250th Tuesday post, we're encouraging all Westlake families to stay after the parade for the Memorial Day Ceremony at Clague Park — a solemn tribute honoring the Westlake residents who gave their lives in service to our country, from the Revolutionary War through today.
The ceremony begins immediately after the parade (which steps off Monday, May 25 at 10 a.m. at Columbia & Hilliard) and features remarks from Mayor Dennis Clough, featured speaker Master Sergeant (Ret.) Sara Markle, a powerful performance of Taps and Echo by the Westlake High School Band, and a traditional gun salute presented by Bay Village American Legion Post 385. Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Westlake, this year's ceremony carries special meaning as we mark America's 250th anniversary. Join us as we remember, reflect, and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸
